Vizada to support Télécoms Sans Frontières in 2008
Vizada has renewed its partnership with Télécoms Sans Frontières (Telecom Without Borders) to support the NGO in its humanitarian missions throughout 2008.

Vizada develops satellite voice and data communications solutions (email, internet, videoconferencing, etc.) that enable TSF employees to deploy telecoms centers in the 24 hour period following a major incident. These centers provide relief to local populations, enable them to communicate with family and friends, locate each other more easily and reassure and raise morale in crisis situations.
In 2007 Vizada supported TSF in ten different missions around the world including in Bangladesh following a cyclone in the country in November 2007, and in Mexico during the same month after heavy flooding affected over one million inhabitants.
With Vizada’s support, TSF employees sent more than 30 000 megabytes of data via satellite during humanitarian missions in 2007, totally approximately 300 hours’ satellite communications time. TSF assisted 150 agencies in their missions, including the UN and local authorities, and provided communications support to thousands of affected families.
