+ 870 single Inmarsat country code
| From 1 January 2009, Inmarsat users will be required to dial a single country code when calling from Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) services. That number is +870. What impact will this have? |
Which Inmarsat services will change?
• Fleet 33, 55, 77
• Inmarsat B
• Inmarsat M
• Mini M
• Inmarsat GAN (M4)
• Classic Aero
• Swift 64
Which Inmarsat services will not be affected?
Please note that the telex Ocean Region codes (+581, +582, +583, +584) as well as the SwiftBroadband, FleetBroadband, BGAN and Inmarsat-C services will not be affected.
The country code +870 is already available, we strongly recommend you to start using the number for calling Inmarsat terminals as of today - before the deadline of 1st January 2009.
